Terms and conditions
It is the responsibility of the client to understand, agree, and accept responsibility for all booking conditions, including all payments due by specified dates. By paying the deposit, you agree to the terms & conditions in full and commit to the deposit being non refundable and non transferable.
Makeup artist requires a minimum booking of 3 adult clients – Saturdays, May-September at a wedding. (One bride and 2 others) A surcharge may apply if there are less than 3 adult clients. The surcharge will be charged at the rate of an additional adult bridesmaid, until the minimum of 3 adult clients is reached. Makeup prices, as specified at the time of initial enquiry, are non negotiable.
Payment and Cancellations
No bookings are confirmed until the deposits have been received. Once the deposit has been received, your booking/appointment is secured.
A non refundable £80 deposit will be required when booking a trial, this secures your trial booking date, and reserve your wedding date, the balance of your trial booking to be paid in cash on the day of your trial.
The deposit can be paid via Bank Transfer (as invoiced).
Following the trial should you choose the makeup artist to be part of your special day, you have within 7 days to confirm your booking for the wedding day. The makeup artist will require a non refundable 50% deposit of the total cost, to secure your date. The remaining 50% will be due seven days prior to your wedding or paid in cash on the wedding day before the makeup service starts
If no confirmation is received within those 7 days, it will be assumed that you no longer wish to proceed with your booking and the date will be released.
Cancellations by client
If you need to cancel your booking, any deposit paid is non-refundable/transferable. Should you cancel your booking within four weeks of your wedding day, full payment will be required as the makeup artist cannot guarantee they will be able to re fill your date, resulting in loss of earnings. You must notify the makeup artist of cancellation in writing via email.
CANCELLATION POLICY by Makeup Artist– PLEASE READ
In the unfortunate event that the makeup artist is unable to perform services on the trial date or wedding date, for any reason, including but not limited to sickness, accident, weather,unforeseen circumstances emergency etc., reasonable accommodations shall be made up to and including a full refund of retainers for services not provided. Every effort will be made to replace the artist at short notice where possible but this can not be guaranteed and is subject to a replacement artists availability.
All makeup trials are undertaken at the makeup artist home studio at a mutually convenient time.
Your Wedding day
On the day of the wedding the makeup artist will arrive at the agreed time and address. The makeup artist requires a room with good natural lighting or well-lit area with table or space to set up makeup.
Makeup Assistant fee
Larger bridal parties may require an assistant at a fee of £50.
Travel and Accommodation
Travel charges may vary depending on location and mode of transport. Travel within 10 miles of E15, East London are included in the cost of your service. Additional miles are charged at 50p per mile including the return journey. Congestion charge and Parking Fees to be paid by client.
The client will cover all necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking. This is to include, should it be required, Hotel/Train/Taxi/ Flights/Accommdation to be arranged and paid by client.
The balance payment of weddings outside of the UK must be paid and cleared before the makeup artist leaves the country.
Hotel accommodation expenses will be incurred where it is not practical to travel on the morning fo the wedding, ie a service that is booked to start prior to 8am and is over 50 miles from E15 this will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.
It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have made all communication via email. Communication via any platforms that are not written emails do not reflect an agreement.
The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The makeup artist will not be held responsible for any delays caused by events beyond their control. If you are aware of factors, which could delay or hinder the makeup artist journey, such as diversions, road closures, speed restrictions, satnav issues etc. please advise as soon as possible so that this can be factored into the journey.
Images & Photography
The makeup artist needs to continually update their portfolio and demonstrate their work to future prospective brides, this includes photos taken by the makeup artist (possibly before and after photos) and photos taken by your professional photographer. The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages. No personal information will be given. Client agrees makeup artist may contact your photographer to obtain professional images.
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members the party for, but not limited to, infectious conditions / abusive and threatening behaviour.
The contents of these Terms & Conditions may be subject to alteration at any time, at the makeup artist discretion.
