Foundation
If your skin is oily, hydrate it with an oil-free moisturizer. And if your skin is normal to dry, moisturise it as usual.
To keep shine at bay, prepare your skin for foundation by applying an anti-shine product. I highly recommend Becca Ever Matte Primer
If you have very very good skin, you ca skip the foundation and just use concealer in areas where you feell you need it especially under eyes, around corners of your nose, and wherever you have blemishes.
If you do use foundation, apply an oil-free formula with a foundation brush or use it very lightly.
After you’ve applied your liquid foundation, you can set your makeup with translucent powder and lock in your makeup with a setting spray like Urban Decay All nighter.
Eyes
For some women, Eye shadow can last for hours; for others, it fades in minutes. If you fall into the latter category, here are some tricks to try:
Using a concealer brush, apply concealer all over your lid, from lash line to brow. This will help your shadow adhere to your skin. If your lids are extra oily (most Asian women have oily lids), apply a mattifying product first, then put your concealer on top. Finish it off with a dusting of powder.
Pro tip Use a long lasting cream eyeshadow as a base for your eyeshadow. As for liners, liquid liner stays put like no pencil can.
Liquid or gel liner stays put better than pencils
Waterproof mascara I highly recommend this for the day.
Lips
You’ll be kissing your new husband, kissing your guests, sipping champagne… how in the world are you supposed to keep your lipstick on all day? Heed this advice for a picture perfect pucker:1. Start off by moisturizng your lips with balm so your pencil will glide along easily. Then take your lip pencil and color in your entire mouth — this will prevent your lipstick from bleeding and supply more holding power.
Pro tip If you’re the type of person who can never keep her lipstick on, use a medium-toned concealer as a base before your lip pencil.
Once your pencil’s in place, apply your lipstick, then blot with a tissue. While the tissue is still pressed to your lips, brush some loose powder on top, then remove the tissue and make up your lips again to seal the deal.
The final step is adding a touch of gloss and applying lipstick sealer. Just one coat on your upper and lower lips will hold your color in place all day, or at least most of it.
Pack a little makeup kit, which you can give to your mum or bridesmaids for safekeeping. It should include a powder compact, a lipstick, and a small tube of concealer with a tiny synthetic brush for quick touchups.
